Week in Review — 10.12.12
Depending what side of the aisle you're on, last night's VP debate was either a rousing return to form for Dems, or a solid GOP defense. "Scranton Joe" Biden came out swinging and smiling. Paul Ryan kept it on the level and stuck to his rhetorical guns. Whether or not undecideds were persuaded by either remains to be seen.
If you want to say one thing about last night's debate, it was a far sight more interesting than Wednesday's dry (but substantive) showdown between Sen. Scott Brown and Prof. Elizabeth Warren.
Off the political track, a Lawrence compounding company is in serious trouble after a steroid produced at the lab gave patients fungal meningitis. Fourteen people have died thus far as a result, and many more sickened.
We talk through all the week's news, plus Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down, on our Week in Review.
GUESTS:
- Michael Goldman, Democratic strategist, and senior consultant for the Government Insight Group.
- Wendy Murphy, attorney and adjunct professor at New England Law Boston.
- Joan Vennochi, op-ed columnist for the Boston Globe.
