The Phone is the New Wallet

If you've been out fighting the crowds at the mall this holiday season, you may have noticed a small but significant change: smartphones being slipped in and out of pockets, quickly and quietly doing merchandise comparisons, even making payments.
There are now four times as many mobile phones as there are landline phones in the world. And 20 percent of those mobile phones are smartphones.
Jack Philbin, Co-Founder and CEO of Vibes, and Ben Saren, VP of Marketing at Litle, joined us on Boston Public Radio to discuss how mobile phones alter the way we shop, where we choose to spend our money, and how we pay.
