Fiscal Cliff Talks Draw Protesters
Skeptics of the "grand bargain" negotiation underway between President Obama and Congressional leaders are calling it a “turkey.” Several dozen activists protested outside Senator John Kerry's downtown Boston office Monday at noon to draw attention to the possibility of social spending cuts in an effort to alleviate January's "fiscal cliff."

Michael Cain is with the the Mass Alliance of HUD tenants and Budget for All referendum campaign. He joined members of the American Friends Service Committee, who say they do not want to see cuts to Medicare, Social Security and other social services.
Representatives from Kerry's office offered no comment other than to say that historically the senator has not supported cuts to Medicare and Social Security.
