Conversation with Uber Boston

The car service app, Uber, faced a bumpy road after it set up shop in Boston late last year. After a few months of business, the state issued Uber a cease and desist order.  The Governor ultimately reversed the ban on Uber, but it wasn't the first time the company had faced trouble entering a new market. Uber's faced barriers in New York City, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco- and now, transportation regulators have proposed guidelines that would effectively edge Uber out of the market.

Callie Crossley spoke with Uber Boston general manager Michael Pao about some of the challenges Uber has faced in Boston, and some of the rules and regulations some say are impeding innovation in the Bay State and across the country.
