In the first segment, Jim Braude and Margery Eagan speak with Rep. Stephen Lynch. Afterward, Boston Phoenix editor Peter Kadzis and Republican strategist Todd Domke talked politics.

Harvard Prof. Daniel Schrag talks about global warming, and whether an increasing number of storms like Tropical Storm Sandy may become the new normal.

The Rev. Eugene Rivers stopped by for BPR's "Open Mic" segment. He talked about the Salon piece, "Why Oscar Loves a White Savior." Later in the interview, Rep. Ed Markey called in.

Jim and Margery continued speaking with Rep. Ed Markey about his run for US Senate. He addressed his recent Dred Scott comments, as well as allegations he doesn't live in Malden anymore.

WGBH's Jared Bowen — host of Open Studio with Jared Bowen — and TV and film critic Joyce Kulhawik talked about Sunday night's Academy Awards.
